Fatima Sana Shaikh is an Indian actress[2][3]and photographer. She mainly appears inBollywood movies and television serials. She is best known for her role as baby girl Bharti inChachi 420. In her most recent role, she playsGeeta Phogat, an Indian wrestler and Mahavir Singh Phogat's (played by Aamir Khan) daughter in the Bollywood film Dangal.

Fatima was born to parents Vipan Sharma, a Hindu from Jammu and Raj Tabassum, a Muslim from Srinagar.[4] Shaikh began her film career with the 1997 film Chachi 420 with Kamal Hasan.[5] She played the role of Bharti, Jaiprakash "Jai" Paswan and Janki Paswan's daughter.[clarification needed] In 2001, she appeared in One 2 Ka 4, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. In 2008, she played the role of Zoya in Indian drama filmTahaan. In 2009 she switched to TV soaps such as Ladies Special where she played the role of daughter of one of the protagonists, and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in which she played a negative role. She worked in the comedy film Bittoo Boss (2012), the romantic film Akaash Vani (2013) and the inspirational movie Dangal (2016). On 5 May 2017, it was announced that Shaikh would star in Thugs of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif.[6][7]
