Munmun Dutta is an Indian film and television actress and model. She plays Babita Iyer in the long-running Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Early life and education
Dutta was born in Durgapur, West Bengal into a Bengali family of singers. She took formal training in classical music. After completing her higher secondary education she took admission in a college in Pune,Maharashtra. She has completed Masters in English.
While living in Pune, Dutta participated in fashion shows. She came to Mumbai and had her acting debut in Zee TV's 2004 serial Hum Sab Baraati. Her first film role was in Kamal Haasan's Mumbai Express. In 2006, she appeared in the film Holiday.
